Membership is how the studio pays for ink and how most of the library's regulars make their work. You get the drums, the shelf of inks, the cutter, the stitcher, and a locker for your paper. We get to keep the lights on and the drum loaded.

$95 / month
Drum Member
Six drum hours a month, ink and masters at cost, open studio priority, and a locker for your paper stock. The standard membership, and the one most people want.
Fourteen drum hours, a full locker, two guest passes, and one hour of tech time a month for whatever your project needs. For people mid-book or mid-obsession.
Library access, open studio priority, workshop discounts, and two drum hours a month. For people who want to stay close to the press without running it weekly.
Clean your drum. Whatever ink you run, the next member inherits the machine. Five minutes of cleanup is the membership fee's other half.
Label everything. Paper, masters, prints in progress. The unlabeled pile grows until it becomes a problem, and then it becomes June's problem, and June has opinions.
Teach what you know. Every member was a beginner on a Thursday. If someone new is stuck, help. That is the whole culture and it works.
Respect the overnight. Prints need to rest. Moving a wet stack ruins a day's work and earns a look from Marisol that you will remember.
Report the weird sounds. The machines tell you everything. A new noise reported early is a five-minute fix; a new noise ignored is a new drum drum.
No client work on the open drums. Client runs happen on scheduled slots with staff. It keeps the quality up and the arguments down.

Membership FAQ
The questions members ask
Can drum hours roll over?
Up to three hours roll into the next month. After that they lapse, because the alternative is a waitlist nobody can honor in December.
Do you pause memberships?
Yes, once a year for up to two months, no fee, no questions. Members go on book tours, have babies, and disappear into residencies. The press waits.
What is ink at cost, exactly?
We do not mark up ink or masters for members. You pay what we pay, which is about $14 a master and pennies per print. The membership fee covers the machine, not the consumables.
Can I sell what I print?
Absolutely. Work printed on member hours is yours outright. We ask for one copy for the library shelf and a mention when it wins things, which it will.
Is there a contract?
Month to month, cancel any time by the 25th for the next cycle. No initiation fee, no fine print, no exit interview unless you want to tell us what to fix.
Tour first, decide later
Every membership starts with a free tour and a test print. Thursday nights are easiest; bring questions and we will have answers, some of them correct.
